Mansour Kiarash: Hi, we are beside you with another 8-minute talk show. Dear Mehdi Mohsenipour, the Marketing Director at Asiatech Co is our guest today.

Hi dear Mehdi.

Mehdi Mohsenipour: Hi dear Mansour, thanks for your invitation.

Mansour Kiarash: I’d appreciate it if you introduce yourself.

Mehdi Mohsenipour: this is Mehdi Mohsenipour. I obtained a software BA, a master’s of MBA, and a Ph.D. in marketing. I’m working in the ICT field for 10 years, I’ve been the marketing manager at ICT field in many companies, and I’m the marketing manager at Asiatech for a year.

Mansour Kiarash: what are your job challenges?

Mehdi Mohsenipour: one of my serious job challenges is how to join marketing strategy with other segments of our job, and convince them to cooperate with the marketing team. These segments could be the finance, HR, strategy team, or even the chairman. In the marketing team, the internal marketing expresses the brand loyalty that we can progress it in the company, and the external marketing helps us have an extern market that helps us provide services to stakeholders or our customers, and the interaction between the personnel and the customer.

These three angles help us line up all different fields with our team.

Another challenge is how to stay updated because the marketing team has many routines, and It destroys creativity.

Mansour Kiarash: is there any solution for that?

Mehdi Mohsenipour: I worked in enterprise companies, and they were more organizational. But I try to create some teams to improve my connection with other work sections, and I try to connect the mentoring or marketing teams to others, such as HR or technicians and help them reach their targets with cooperation.

Mansour Kiarash: How important is innovation?

Mehdi Mohsenipour: the first step is to create creativity, and there isn’t any structure for the creation that we follow for training creative people. We should search, and discover what psychology says about creativity. There are some other solutions that I try to focus on them like creating work panels, creating focus groups, and gathering people together for brainstorming and checking the ideas. I believe that training increases creativity because, during the training ideas are generated, and we can utilize them. I spend a part of the time training marketing teams. Moreover, it helps me achieve more ideas.

Mansour Kiarash: What study resources will you introduce to our audiences?

Mehdi Mohsenipour: a good marketing manager should have an insight into finance. The other option that is important for a marketing manager is the psychology, like the customer’s behavior and advertising psychology. IT and Statistics are other fields that are involved with marketing. A marketing manager should be able to do market researches. So, a study in these 4 cases is efficient. But, I’d like to introduce some books in the psychology field, Consumer Behavior by Michael R Solomon. A marketing manager can use this book as a psychological reference. If we want to have an expert look at it, there will be some other books like Social Psychology by Roger Brown.

Mansour Kiarash: what activities should a marketing manager do to stay at high levels?

Mehdi Mohsenipour: he should be up to date and have an external look at events, this helps a manager be successful at his job. Moreover, being in the academic world helps a marketing manager. I like to be in the academic world like Seminars, conferences, and meetings cause they’ll help me gain more information, and I can utilize them in my job. Running workshops for internal or external organization staff help them find the answer to their questions with your information. So, a marketing manager will persuade himself to study the case and answer staff’s questions.

Mansour Kiarash: Who would you invite to this talk show?

Mehdi Mohsenipour: I invite the digital marketing manager at Dirin Dirin, Mr. poormoazen, he is talented and experienced.

Mansour Kiarash: thanks for accepting my invitation.

We talked to a successful manager, and we will talk to others, too.
